Many people get to a point where they feel this same way at one time or another in their lives—usually after a great loss of some kind. However, I could not find any reason or excuse to feel as I did, so I make a transformational decision to find real meaning in my life. I would like to share with you my insight on what really matters.
One book I read during that depressing time made a huge impact on me. It was by Neale Donald Walsch called “The Only Thing That Matters.” Have you heard of this book or read any of the “Conversations with God” series? In it Neale says that 98% of the people spend 98% of their time doing things that don’t really matter. Further he says that when all is said and done we will discover the only thing that really matters. What we are really seeking is connection to the Divine.
I do believe that this is the Truth. I made the commitment that I would spend 98 % of my time in pursuit of the most important thing to me—my connection to Source. You can call this Source: God, the Force, the Universe, Oneness or Consciousness or whatever you want to. There are probably thousands of names for God. The term “I AM” is also used for the power of love that flows through and connects all life. I don’t think it matters what you call the higher powers, there is room for many understandings. Maybe everyone has their own unique perception of this Consciousness.
As I pursued a connection to non-physical and conducted my own “conversations with God” I began to get some more answers. It has come to my attention in my studies that there is a movement in the world of people who are awakening to conscious awareness of our Divine nature. (More on this in a later post)
It has been said that almost everyone has had a “spiritual” experience of some kind—and most do not want to have another one ever again. I assume it is because they cannot find an explanation that makes any sense to them. Any unknown we can’t understand is very frightening. Also it is because we maintain and defend the illusion that our personality is our identity.
I have created this web-site Consciousness Guide to post about the insights that I and others have come across in our quest for answers. I try to give easy how-to steps to anyone who would like to apply greater consciousness in their everyday lives. Even though we are Divine we are also human beings living in a physically manifested world. Whether enlightened or not we are still subject to the limitations of this world and have to function in it.
It is my intension to document my stories and experiences as I reach for a connection to the Divine. I hope to give people who are searching for answers some of the explanations and understanding I gather along the way. I hope it is helpful. Further, I would like to site resources that people may need to make some sense of their own experiences as the nature of consciousness changes. Indeed it will soon become apparent that the whole of Earth is having a major change in consciousness. It is time to wake up.
I can share no greater insight than my own experience with knowing that we are in reality Divine. Moreover we are one with everything, all of life is connected, meaning we are all One with a big “O.” We are all enveloped in powerful love—held in perfection in the mind of God where very bit of our life experience is perfect just as it is. Every moment of existence is sacred. I have had the experience of knowing this as reality.
I hope that you know what I am talking about. Or that you have had some inkling. What is your “spiritual” experience? What REALLY matters to you?
Live Life Consciously!
Note: I now realize that I already posted this under another title. I like this version better and it bears repeating so here it is again.
